About Three Cups Game
The shell game, played straight. An object goes under one of three cups, the cups shuffle, and you point at the one you think holds it. Nothing is hidden from you. The whole trick is whether your eye keeps up once the shuffle gets quicker.
Each correct guess moves you into a faster round, so the game ends at the moment your attention does. It plays with a mouse or a finger, in any orientation, and a round takes seconds. The game's own advice is to follow one cup rather than the group, and that advice is right.
How to play
- Watch which cup the object goes under.
- Follow that cup through the shuffle.
- Select the cup you think holds it.

Tips
- Track one cup only. Trying to hold all three is how a round gets lost.
- Decide quickly. The pace climbs each round, and a long pause after the shuffle rarely improves the guess.
