About Drop Planets

The rule is one line long. Slide the falling planet along the top of the jar, let it go, and any two planets of the same size that touch turn into a single larger one. Everything you do after that follows from where the last one landed.

What makes it hold up is that the jar never gets any bigger. Every planet you drop without a merge is space you do not get back, so a run is really a long argument with your own earlier drops. The board is in portrait, and it reads the same on a phone as on a desktop.

How to play

  1. Slide left or right to line the falling planet up.
  2. Let go to drop it.
  3. Two planets of the same size merge into one larger planet on contact.
  4. The run ends when the jar overflows.

Tips

  • Drop next to a planet of the same size. A merge on contact gives back the room the drop just took.
  • Do not stack planets that cannot pair. Every one you leave unmerged raises the level in the jar.
