About Master Chess Multiplayer
Chess with no reinvention: the same pieces, the same rules, the same problem. You can take on the computer or play a person, and either way the game gives you a clean board and leaves the thinking to you.
Moving a piece takes two inputs, one to choose it and one to say where it goes, which is the same on a desktop and on a phone. The board is drawn plainly enough that a long game does not tire the eye. It runs at 800 by 600 in either orientation.
How to play
- Choose a game against the computer or against another player.
- Select the piece you want to move.
- Select the square you want it on.
- Keep going until one king is in checkmate.
Controls
| Tap or click a piece | Select it |
|---|---|
| Tap or click a square | Move the selected piece there |
Tips
- Move the pieces off the back row early. A rook that never comes out is a piece you are not using.
- Look at what your opponent threatens before you take a piece. A free piece is often not free.
