The best looking classic in the set by a distance. Late Flash at close to its best, and it still reads as the show.

About The Amazing World of Gumball: Water Sons

Water Sons is late Flash and it shows. It runs at 640 by 520, a taller stage than any of the 2000s games here, and it mixes the show's photographed backgrounds with drawn characters exactly the way the series does. The title screen is Gumball holding a water balloon over a suburban lawn.

It is the most modern looking game in the classics set, and the one that survives being blown up on a large screen best. Everything about the presentation is closer to the show than the older tie ins ever managed.

How to play

  1. Click Play on the title screen.
  2. Use the keyboard. The game states its own controls before the first level.
  3. Take the first level slowly. It is built as the tutorial.

Tips

  • Turn the sound on. The show's audio is in here and it carries a lot of the humour.
  • It needs a keyboard, so play it on a desktop rather than a phone.
