About The Floor Is Lying
The Floor Is Lying is a trap platformer. The route to the exit looks ordinary, and parts of it are not what they appear to be, so a first attempt at a level is really a way of finding out where the lies are. Death is instant, and so is the respawn, which is the deal this kind of game has to make with you.
Once you know a trap, the level turns from a puzzle into a run. A Daily Gauntlet of five rotating levels keeps streaks and fewest death records, which gives a reason to come back to something you already solved. It plays with a keyboard on a desktop and with on-screen buttons on a phone.
How to play
- Move toward the exit.
- Learn the traps by hitting them. The respawn is immediate.
- Reach the exit, assuming the exit is really there.
Controls
| The on-screen movement buttons, or A and D, the arrow keys or Z Q S D | Move |
|---|---|
| The on-screen jump button, or W, the up arrow or Space | Jump |
Tips
- Treat a first run as scouting. Nothing is lost by dying, and a trap is only visible once it fires.
- The Daily Gauntlet counts deaths, so enter it on the day you already know the levels.
