About Runner

The runner never slows down, so the only decision left is when to jump. Get it right and the stride carries through the hurdle without breaking. Get it slightly wrong and the whole rhythm collapses, which is more costly than the single obstacle you clipped.

That is what the game is built around: not the difficulty of any one jump, but the way a clean run feels different from a scrappy one. The levels keep adding obstacles until the timing has to be automatic. It runs at 800 by 600 in any orientation, on a phone or a desktop.

How to play

  1. Start the run. The hurdler moves on his own.
  2. Time the jump so it clears the obstacle in stride.
  3. Keep the rhythm going through the whole line of hurdles.
  4. Reach the end of the course without falling.

Controls

Tap or clickEverything. One input does the whole game.

Tips

  • Jump a fraction earlier than feels right. Late is the mistake that ends runs.
  • Look one obstacle ahead of the one you are clearing. Reacting to what is under you is already too late.
