About Ancient Armies vs Modern Weapons
One modern soldier lands in the past, and the armies of history march on that soldier. Each level puts a different force on a different map: Macedonians on an island, Vikings on a frozen shore, Samurai under the mountains, Roman legions in a forest, Aztecs in a jungle and Spanish conquerors at a castle. Foot soldiers and riders with lances keep coming until the last of them is down.
You carry three weapons, and each one has a job. The machine gun reaches furthest, the flamethrower burns whatever is close, and a grenade clears a whole group. Ammunition runs out, so you keep moving, change weapons and go back to the ammo crate to reload. On a phone you drag to move and fire, and on a desktop you use the keyboard.
How to play
- Move away from the warriors and fire at them as they come.
- Change to another weapon when the one you hold runs dry.
- Walk onto the ammo crate to reload the weapon in your hands.
- Keep going until the last soldier of the army falls.
Controls
| Drag anywhere, or the arrow keys on a desktop | Move and fire |
|---|---|
| Space | Fire |
| 1, 2, 3, or the switch button on a phone | Change weapon |
| R | Retry the level |
Tips
- The crate reloads only the weapon you hold, so change to the empty one before you step on it.
- You cannot fire while you stand on the crate, so reload when no warrior is close.
- Keep the grenades for a group and the flamethrower for anything that gets close.
