About Star Wing

Earth is down to one ship and it is yours. The aliens arrive in waves, the screen fills with fire that has to be steered around, and whatever you shoot down pays for the upgrades that make the next stretch survivable.

That upgrade loop is the shape of the whole game. A wall you cannot get past becomes passable a few runs later with a better gun behind it. Portrait at 600 by 800, which is the right shape for a shooter played with one hand.

How to play

  1. Fly your ship through hostile territory.
  2. Shoot down the alien craft in your way.
  3. Dodge incoming fire while you keep firing.
  4. Spend what you earn on upgrading the ship.

Controls

Tap or clickEverything. One input does the whole game.

Tips

  • Keep moving. A ship that stops shooting for a second lasts longer than one that stops moving.
  • Upgrade the gun before the hull. Clearing a wave faster is the best defence available early on.
