7.5out of 10A clean tower defence. The two resources give it a decision every wave rather than a shopping list.
About Defend the Castle
Defend the Castle runs on gold and wood, and almost nothing costs only one of them. Cannons and archers cover different ranges, walls buy time, and upgrading what you have competes directly with building something new.
The waves are fixed, so a failed run teaches you something usable. The right answer is usually a wall you did not build two waves ago. It is a straight tower defence, made better than average by keeping two currencies apart instead of merging them into one score.
How to play
- Place cannons and archers along the approach.
- Spend gold and wood between waves on new defences or on upgrades.
- Keep the King alive. Losing him ends the run.

Tips
- Archers cover ground, cannons stop a stack. You need both before wave five, not more of one.
- Bank a little wood every wave. A wall you can build immediately is worth more than one you can afford next round.
