About Basketball Stars
Every button lives on one keyboard, and that is the point. Player one takes W, A, S and D. Player two takes the arrow keys. Both sit in front of the same screen. A double tap on a direction dashes, and each side has a steal and a power move of its own.
Alone, there are five ways in: a tournament, a random match, a training court with nobody on it, a quick match against the computer, and the two player mode. In a two-on-two game you control the player with the glowing circle under them, and the computer covers the ground you are not on.
How to play
- Pick a mode: tournament, random match, training, quick match or two players.
- Move with A and D, and press W to jump and shoot.
- Hold S to defend, press B to steal, and use Z or V for a power move.
- Tap a direction twice to dash past your opponent.
Controls
| W | Jump or shoot |
|---|---|
| S | Defend |
| A | Move left, or tap twice to dash |
| D | Move right, or tap twice to dash |
| B | Steal |
| Z or V | Power move |
| Arrow keys | Player two moves, jumps and defends |
| L | Player two steals |
| K | Player two power move |
Tips
- The dash is a double tap, not a separate key. It is the quickest way past a defender.
- Watch the glowing circle in a two-on-two match. It moves, and it tells you who you are controlling.
- Use the training court to learn the steal. It is the hardest of the six actions to time.
